The LRV Guru™ app is designed for calculating Light Reflectance Value (LRV) and Lightness, Chroma, and Hue Angle (LCh°). Users can leverage The Color Strategist color wheel to accurately identify the hue family corresponding to any given color.

How It Works:

• The LRV Guru™ app can function independently to compute differences in known LRV values.
• Alternatively, users can access the "Compare" option from the menu to view both LRV and LCh° values simultaneously.
• When paired with Variable, Inc.'s Color Muse hand-held colorimeter, the LRV Guru™ app accurately measures LRV.

The data concluded from the Color Muse and the ratios obtained using the LRV Guru app serve as reasonably informative guidelines—considered "in the ballpark," as it were. However, for precise measurements exceeding these guidelines, certified analysis from a color laboratory would be necessary.

Important Note: Users should be aware that taking a photo of a color with a smartphone or camera does not yield an accurate LRV measurement. Photographic images represent mere captures of colors and do not equate to actual measurements. To measure LRV accurately with this app, integration with a Color Muse or NODE+Chroma hand-held colorimeter is essential.

Feature Highlight: An adjustable contrast ratio is included in the app's functionality. The default contrast ratio is set at 70%, reflecting a widely accepted standard. Users can easily modify this by navigating to "settings" and using the slide bar to customize the ratio according to their preferences.
